Following an intimate civil ceremony in Kingsbridge, Devon, Emma and Danny tied the knot in the charming and picturesque Lartigolle. The exquisite venue has a romantic countryside setting in the heart of southwestern France, with stunning grand architecture and well-manicured gardens that made it the most perfect backdrop for their special day!

I was so excited when Emma got in touch to ask if I would be happy to travel to France to photograph her wedding to Danny, after I had photographed her site Kat’s wedding in Salcombe few years before. The answer was obviously a very firm YES.

Emma and I kept in touch during the pandemic while she and Danny tried to pin down a date – with so many uncertainties still causing problems there was a lot of concern about travel restrictions and all the associated covid issues , but we got there in the end and have become quite good friends in the process!

Emma looked stunning in her Lyn Ashworth dress and did not stop smiling all day, and Danny looked sharp in his Favourbrook suit, which paired well with the broad smile that he was also wearing all day alongside Emma’s!

Following the exchange of vows led by celebrant extraordinaire – Aggie the Celebrant, Emma and Danny were showered with confetti before a very relaxed drinks reception where guests were treated to the best of local wines and champagnes. The atmosphere was electric, with non-stop dancing until the early hours of the morning in the cave!

It was indeed a fairytale wedding, ending with the most glorious Lartigolle sunset.

Lartigolle was an outstanding venue, the attentiveness and fluidity of the team was impressive, and we would absolutely love to work there again!

We wish Emma and Danny nothing but love and happiness as they begin their new life surrounded by warmth and love. The celebration was a lifetime memory that will be cherished forever by both the happy couple and their guests.
