Fiona & James – A Walthamstow Wetlands Wedding

It’s time for James and Fiona’s wedding at the wonderful Walthamstow Wetlands wildlife reserve (too many w’s?) to hit the blog.

This isn’t a recent wedding, it’s a couple of years ago now, but I got quite behind with blogging some of my favourite weddings and for sure this day needed sharing! It was a very hot day in June, so in the centre of London it sure was a warm one! I absolutely love working at this venue as I am a big nature lover and love to visit and support wildlife trusts whenever possible, and I’m also a bit of a bird geek (I have three bird tattoos also!). It’s a super diverse venue for a wedding in that it’s a unique looking industrial space in the centre of London whilst also having a beautiful wild space for photos and guests to have a walk around! On this day in particular it was so hot the guests actually decided to stay inside! I did go on a little walk into the wetlands with James and Fiona for a couple of photos though, it’s a such a lush space. Flowers were by the super Borrowed Light Florals, who I had worked with on a couple of occasions, their work suits the space perfectly ( I also love the company name!)

Here’s a small selection from the day. If you’re getting married at Walthamstow Wetlands, or one of the other London Wildlife Trust spaces, we would love to hear from you!

We hope you enjoy this Walthamstow Wetlands wedding photography!

A super day at Walthamstow wetlands, and so much fun! I would love to hear from you if you’re getting married here and would like to chat! For more Walthamstow Wetlands wedding photography, keep an eye on the site as we have another James and Fiona who got married here in March ’23 – coming up soon!
