When Dylan first got in touch he and Brittany hadn’t yet booked their wedding venue, but I was recommend by a venue they’d considered and we stayed in touch. Once a venue was secured I was so excited when Dylan got back in touch to book our hybrid package (photo and highlights film). It was such an honour that Dylan and Brittany liked my work enough that they actually picked Luna to photograph their Carlton Towers wedding, before they’d even booked the venue!Â
A castle wedding in the UK
This gorgeous and very sweet couple were panning their elopement with just a few family and friends from their home in the USA, and the brief for the venue was ‘a castle wedding in the uk’ I’d say that Carlton Towers smashed it out of the park. This family home has been hosting visitors for over 800 year and is an exclusive use venue in Yorkshire. Having the entire towers for the wedding party really did feel magical, and we were very much made to feel like one of the guests.
The first look
Something we don’t do very often I the UK is a first look, Brittany & Dylans first look was such a special moment, and really helped relieve nerves before the ceremony . It’s also a bonus to get any family groups and portraits done before the ceremony, so then everyone can enjoy the reception!Â
A surprise at the end of the night
At the end of the night, Brittany and Dylan exchanged gifts – Brittany’s expression and emotions when Dylan revealed the original engagement ring Brittany had absolutely fallen in love with – you can see for yourself! She was so surprised and overwhelmed. I won’t go into the personal details of the ring – but let’s just say it was incredibly special – such a beautiful moment to capture.
A rainbow, THAT LIGHT and speeches
The most perfect day was rounded off with GORGEOUS light, and a rainbow, some heartfelt speeches and relaxed drinks in the drawing room.Â
As we said our goodbyes once the day was winding down, Adam and I were quite sad to say goodbye! It had been the most beautiful day, a photographer’s dream, and we had been made to feel so very welcome all day.
We really truly hope to see Brittany and Dylan again some day, but until then, we are still in touch on Instagram and we love seeing what they’re up to!Â
