Wow. The love and energy at Sarah and Kees’ wedding. The love was immense. It was wonderful to witness such strong familial bonds and more than a joy to document. This is the stuff we get excited about. We had met Sarah and Kees just a few weeks prior to the wedding for a pre wedding shoot with their two beautiful little boys, it was just the most gorgeous laid back shoot, and we knew the wedding would be a great day.
We’ve worked at Shilstone House a few times now, it’s a great venue, and despite the weather not being on our side at all times (was it much at all this year?!) it really wasn’t a problem for anyone. The weather stayed fine for the church ceremony and epic confetti run, then everyone jumped on vintage buses to get back to Shilstone for much needed drinks prior to the wedding breakfast. Sarah and Kees are incredibly calm, funny and kind people. Sarah makes you feel immediately comfortable in her company and has the most infectious smile, and along with Kees with his laid back nature and dry wit, you can see how there was so much love in the room for this awesome pair, who as a team are pretty hilarious and great to be around.
As is often the case with our couples (we seem to attract pretty amazing people) we were made to feel incredibly welcome all day, and we left feeling like we’d made new friends rather than as if we’d been working.
Here is just a small selection of that aforementioned love, enjoy.
